Chicken Cacciatori


Recipe:

3 lb. Frying Chicken, pieces
8 oz. Tomato Sauce
? cup Olive or Vegetable Oil
1/3 cup Teriyaki Sauce
1 Large Onion, sliced
1 tsp. Oregano, crumbled
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
2 Bay Leaves
1 - 16 oz. Can Tomatoes

  1. Brown chicken pieces thoroughly in hot oil in large skillet or Dutch oven; remove.
  2. add onion and garlic to oil and cook until onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients. arrange chicken pieces in sauce; cover and simmer 45 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
  4. Discard bay leaves and skim off excess fat.
  5. Serve chicken and sauce on bed of cooked spaghetti or noodles.
